Paragraph 2 Topic Sentence
Once the job was done, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have to face the consequences, his fatal flaw keeps him from true salvation.

The metaphor “Macbeth does murder sleep!” emphasises the amount of guilt that Macbeth that Macbeth has. Not only has he killed the king he also destroyed his own sense of peace.

The repetition of the word “sleep” alludes to the tortured mind of Lady Macbeth, later in the play, as she sleep walks to her death.

Macbeth’s crime results in him being unable to sleep and that drives Macbeth to the brink of madness and his fatal flaw of ambition offers him the justification to carry out his schemes.
