Paracetamol - precautions

A
  1. Risk of hepatoxicity increased in pts with impaired hepatic/liver function, malnourished pts, or elderly/frail pts.
  2. Hepatoxicity can occur with overdose: nil administration if given within past 4 hours, or if paracetamol intake exceeds 4g (adults) or 60mg/kg (paeds) within 24hrs.
