Layout Paper
Thin paper smooth surface used for quick ink technical drawing
Cartridge Paper
Off white paper with slightly textured surface used for sketching and pencil rendering
Tracing Paper
Translucent paper slightly thicker than layout paper used for tracing
Water colour paper
textured and absorbent for water colour painting
Bleed proof paper
Cartridge paper but with a bleed proof layer on one side so colours don’t run used for spirit based marker rendering
Treated Paper
Plain paper with a clear layer to help it hold an image and brighten colours used for photographic printing
Corrugated card
carton board outside with fluted middle layer to protect from impacts used for packaging
Bleached Card
Chemically treated to enhance colours used for high quality packing and greeting cards
Mount Board
compressed cotton fibres used to present art work
Duplex Card
Double layered card used for liquid packaging
Foil lined card
One side is water proof used for take away lids
Metal Effects card
high quality card with a thin metal effect layer for gift boxes or business cards
Moulded paper pulp
Recycled paper wet compressed and dried into a shape used for egg boxes
