Q

Curtains rise

A

Kingsfield: Our time is gone. You are all on your own with Dobson versus Carmichael. In a week you will begin your final exams. There are, in a sense, two sessions in law school. You have just completed the first. The second is coming up. In this brief seven-day session you have time to study, analyze, re-analyze, and be on intimate terms with the judicial opinions we have examined in the course. You must separate the relevant from the irrelevant, sort out reasoning from rationalization, distinguish principle from speculation. Ladies and gentleman, thank you for your attention-and for a good year. You may find this hard to believe, but I wish you luck on your final exams. The class is over. You may leave.
