What is verb network strengthening Treatment (VNEST)?

A

Focuses on verbs, encouraging participants to think of people who perform the actions (known as agents) and the actions/people the actions are performed on. The idea is that by using verbs which require connections to nouns, strength in all the words around the verb will happen; answering WH question is also part of this technique

What is Treatment of Wernicke’s Aphasia?

A

Purpose:
For pt with ability to read words. Pt is given a word to read. Card is flipped over. Pt is asked to repeat the word and look for the picture corresponding to the spoken word.

A

Evidence based approach that uses singing to improve expressive lang. in PWA by slowing the rate of articulation and continuous voicing may reduce dependence on left hemisphere.
