Milk ladder - first introduces cooked/ baked milk. children start with malted milk biscuits and work towards pasteurised milk

  • apnoea
  • looks seriously unwell
  • severe respiratory distress (grunting, marked chest recession, RR>70)

A

Humidified oxygen via head box if sats <92%.

  • NG feeding if inadequate oral intake
  • suction if excessive upper airway secretions

A

Palivizumab is a monoclonal antibody which is used to prevent RSV in children who are at increased risk of severe disease.
