Epilepsy: Lennox-Gastaut Type
Multiple seizures daily which are difficult to treat and associated with personality changes
Rx: sodium valproate
EEG: slow spike waves with abnormalities

Epilepsy: Juvenile myoclinic epilepsy
Teenager who drank alcohol. Symmetrical arm and leg jerking
Rx: sodium valproate
Epilepsy: Benign Rolandic epilepsy
Nocturnal
Mouth and face twitching
Generally children grow out of it
Rx: carbemazepine
EEG: 3 (2) spike wave per second
Absence seizure
High spike in left centrotemporal lobe
Benign Rolandic
This is known as the Rolandic fissure
