- congenital
- out pouching or bulge in lower part of the small intestine

Hirschsprung’s disease?
A
- failure of ganglionic cells to migrate into hindgut
- thus, lack of coordinated peristalsis in region lacking the ganglia
- results in an obstruction at a junction or transition point between normal bowel and distal aganglionic bowel
