What is the dose of adrenaline in a cardiac arrest situation?
10 mcg/kg = 0.1 ml/kg of 1:10,000 solution
Dose of promethazine.
1 mg/kg (max 25 mg) PO or slow IV push (causes hypotension)
Adrenaline bolus in anaphylaxis:
10 mcg/kg IM
= 0.01 ml/kg of 1:1000 solution or 0.1 ml/kg of 1:10,000 solution

50 mg/kg QID (max 2 grams)
Indication: neonatal sepsis

50 mg/kg TDS (max 2 grams)

30 mg/kg (1.5 grams) BD. Staph sepsis.

25 mg/kg (1 gram) in meliodosis
What is the dose of hypertonic saline and mannitol in paeds head injury?
Mannitol: 0.25-0.5 g/kg over 20-30 minutes IV
Hypertonic saline: sodium chloride 3%, 3 ml/kg over 10-20 minutes IV
