How are sound waves produced?
A
-vibrations from the instrument cause the air particles around them to vibrate
-vibrating air particles bump into each other, passing on energy, producing sound waves

What is the human hearing range?
A
20Hz - 20,000Hz (2kHz)

How do we hear?
A
-sound waves reach ear drum causing it to vibrate
-vibrations passed on to ossicles, through semicircular canals and to cochlea
-cochlea turns vibrations into electrical signals which get sent to your brain allowing you to hear the sound
