No imprisonment or imprisonment up to 2 years
Theft or deception offence $0 - $2500 (not robbery or offence of violence)

List the Minor indictable criteria
Imprisonment 2 – 5 years
Theft or deception offences $2500 - $30000 (not robbery)
Recklessly cause harm
Property damage $2500 - $30000
Indecent assault child older than 14 years
What is hearsay evidence?
A person speaks of something not perceived personally or speaks of something received 2nd hand is hearsay
What is real evidence?
Tangible objects or material produced to the court.
Items found on the defendant or in the defendants possession and can include substances which connect the defendant to the offence. ABSOLUTE AND CONDITIONAL SEIZURE
What is documentary evidence?
Anything on which writing, figures or symbols are marked.
It is the content of the document in which the court is to take notice of not the document itself

What is circumstantial evidence?
Evidence of a fact not actually in issue but legally relevant to a fact in issue
May be pieces when separate have no relevance but when put together overwhelmingly point to the guilt of the accused.
What is corroborating evidence
Independent evidence which tends to support the truthfulness of the testimony of another witness. Oral, real, documentary and computer
What is computer evidence?
Computer means any electronic or mechanical means capable of recording and processing data
