What is a p medicine ?
A
it is covered by an authorisation that says it is to be available only from a pharmacy.
(found behind the counter in a pharmacy ex night nurse preparations)
it is not a POM and not a general sales medicine
General sales medicines are available in pharmacies on the shelves which are available for the customer to select themselves.

What are the different types of p medications ?
A
Anthelmintics (treatment of worms)
parenterals (involves piercing skin or mucus membrane/ injections)
enemas (liquids introduced into rectum)
medicines going into blood or vagina or body in general
Aloxiprin or Aspirin for administration to children
