What is a GSM ?
a product that is covered by a Marketing authorisation which states the product is to be available on general sale.
They are licensed products which can be sold/ supplied without the supervision of a pharmacist or any other healthcare professional.
Can a general sales medicine also be sold a p medicine ?
yes due to its market authorisation.
POMS can be gsl or p medicines due to smaller pack sizes or lower concentrations.
where are GSM products sold ?
pharmacies
most retail shops, supermarkets, drug stores etc
can u have a prescription for a GSL medicine ?
yes unless they are blacklisted.
What are pharmacy only medicines?
GSL medicines which are only sold in a pharmacy.- found on the shelves in a pharmacy.
