The motor is cooled by water cooled air and circulated through the motor
Describe the normal and emergency cooling system for the converter cubicle
If the heat exchanger fails 2 emergency inlet panels are removed allowing air to be drawn into the cabinet by the circulating fan
On a type 45 what does the IEP stand for
Type 45 has an integrated propulsion system
What are LV and HV filters used for on the type 45 distribution system
Harmonic filters are used to smooth and filter the voltage supply
What is used to cool harmonic filters
These are cooled via a dedicated air to water heat exchanger fed from the ships chilled water system

The gas turbine alternator produced 4,160V, 60Hz, 3 phase with a capacity of 21MW
