Define fundamentalist Christian
A fundamentalist Christian believes everything in the Bible literally Literally as it the word of god
Explain what a young earth creationist is
They are fundamentalist Christians but by the theory created by arch-bishop Ussher (appointed 1625) they believe the creation story took place 10 thousand years ago
Fundamentalist view of creation story
It did happen exactly as it was written in the bible and is the word of god, it took place at the beginning of time - this does not necessarily mean 13.7billion years ago but rather means the time where there was only God. However, young earth creationists would believe it happened just as it was written in the bible but their beginning of time was 10k years ago
Fundamentalist view of big bang and evolution
Both types do not believe in the Big Bang because the creation story was the beginning of the world and not the bang. They also do not believe in evolution because in the bible (which they take literally as the word of god) it says he makes everything in his image - they believe that animals have no soul so therefore we could not have originated from them, he also made everything ‘good’ so therefore animals should not have to evolve to live.
How would Fundamentalist answer the question?
They would not believe that you can because scientific explanations for the beginning of the world and survival of animals contradict that of the Bible which denies the theory of evolution and the Big Bang.
