Q

How is language used

A

Juxtaposition e.g between colassal and wreck was shows how ozymandias’ power is deteriorating.
harsh Alliteration in “cold command” and “boundless and bare” reflects the sinister and cruel nature of ozymandias
imperatives e.g “look” indicates how controlling he was. This is dramatic irony because theres nothing nwo to look at besides the “colossal wreck” and that “nothing beside remains.”
Th repetition of “kings” in “kings of kings” shows how ozymandias wishes to present himself and omnipotent.

The iambis pentameter is broken in lines 10 and 11 which reflects ozymandias tyranny and arrogance.
Broken structure to reflect the kings crumbling power
