- If Pip 30 / Peep 5, exaled vt is 600, what is Cstat?
- 600/30 = 20 ml/cmh20
- Meaning…it takes 1 cmh20 to move 20 ml - If 700mL is desired Vt
- Cross multiply
- 1cmH20/20mL = (x)cmH20/700mL
- 700/20 = 35cmH20
- Add 5 of peep which then equals a set pip of 40
