What does one gain if they know more about these instrumental sciences?
The more your fiqh + rulings for other things become accurate + pleasing to Allah and His Messenger (SAW)
Difference between Fiqh and Usul Al Fiqh
Fiqh
-Focuses on detailed evidence
-Very specific to what is learnt
thus cannot be applied to other areas in Islam
Usul Al Fiqh
-General evidence
-Principle (evidence) applicable to many chapters/issues in Islam
Difference between Fiqh and Hadith
Hadith’s objective:
1. Prove evidence exists
2. Distinguish false narrations from correct one
BUT Fiqh:
- Extract rulings from Quran + Sunnah (Evidences)
Does Fiqh + hadith need each other or are they separate?
BOTH NEED EACH OTHER!
Fiqh Al- Muqaaran
Comparing different opinions (comparative fiqh) from different jurists on a specific topic
Goal of Fiqh Al- Muqaaran
STRENGTHEN one opinion over other using Quran + Sunnah
Al Qawaaid Al Fiqhiyyah
Principles directly from Quran + Sunnah then APPLIED to subsidiary issues
Al Furooq Al Fiqhiyyah
Looks at differences between things that appear similar to some people
THEN rulings become different when difference is established
Ad Dawaabit Al Fiqhiyyah
Similar to Qawaaid Al Fiqhiyyah BUT restricted to a chapter
Name at least 5 points as to the importance of studying fiqh as an intro (Mud’khal)

Why did intro to fiqh books emerge?
Changed approach (to general fiqh books) due to its importance and thus needing its own
