A

Many of the world’s governments are now committed to actions designed to limit further increases in carbon emission to between 450-550 ppm. The intention is to restrict projected global temperature increase to less than 2% (from pre-industrial levels) by 2100. Effective action on carbon emissions requires a collective international agenda; action by individual countries occurs but it is bound by tighter commitment when part of a negotiated agreement between nations.

In general terms there are two options to tackling climate change.
