When should a Generator be reset
When directed to by QRH
AUTO XFER FAIL switch light indicates
GCU (GEN CONTROL UNIT), detected bus fault or
GEN overcurrent
Affected GEN taken offline
GCU ihibits auto transfer on affected side
Associated AC Bus can’t be powered by APU or offside
What is associate with successful FIRE TEST

Pump outlet psi is to low,
Pump outlet psi is satisfactory
What does the FAIL portion of the Gravity Crossflow
indicate
Gravity crossflow valve not in commanded position
L/R Crossflow switchlights, what does FAIL/ON indicate
Respected Crossflow SOV is not in
Commanded position
ON crossflow pump energized, fuel directed to
low tank
XFLOW AUTO OVERRIDE switchlight IN/ON
Pressed in arms crossflow pump for manual use
Pressed out pump is disarmed for manual use and
auto Crossflow is available (Switch not illuminated)
Wing A.I. Cross Bleed rotary switch
From Left, Right anti-ice valve is closed and bleed is is drawn from the L. ENG for both wings
From Right, Left anti-ice valve is closed and bleed air is drawn from the R. ENG for both wings
Bleed Valve Rotary Switch
AUTO - Automatic Operation of the Bleed valves
CLSD - Closes valves
Manual - Allows for manual operation of valves
controlled by ACSC ISOL toggle switch
CLSD - allows valve to open automatically when
APU LCV is opened during crossbleed starts
and cycle open/closed during auto transfer of bleeds
between APU and ENGs.
OPEN - allows for manual operation of valve in conjunction with BLEED VALVE rotary switch.
BOTH ENG - L/R bleed valve is open if both are capable of supplying bleed air, APU LCV is closed.
L or R ENG selected; selected ENG is supplying bleed
air if able, and the APU LCV is closed.
APU PWR FUEL Switch
Pressed, ECU is powered: APU BITE status message APU SOV OPEN status message Air inlet door opens APU RPM/EGT displayed on EICAS status page Fuel pump comes on
PUMP FAIL illuminates
APU Pump failed
SOV FAIL illuminates

L/R ENG START switchlight
Pressed in, isolation valve opens
Associated starter valve opens
START switchlight illuminates
L or R ENGINE STARTER status message displayed
STOP switchlight
Discontinues start sequence by closing ATS,
Air Turbine Starter
CONT. Ignition switchlight
Engages continuous ignition
Hydraulic Toggle Switches
1 (1B): Auto, allows 1B to operate when perspective bus is powered and 1 GEN is online and Flaps out of zero.
ON, allows pump to operate when perspective bus is powered and 1 GEN is online regardless of Flap position.
OFF, pump is off
3A: ON, allows operation of AC Motor Pump 3A
OFF, pump os off
3B/2: “Same as 1B”
LDG ELEV control knob
Pre-selects a landing elevation
MAN ALT control switch
Manual - control of cabin pressure
UP/DN - commands climb/descent
HOLD - holds selecte altitude
EMER DEPRESS guard switch
Pressed, DC motor will open outflow valve and depressurize the aiplane
PRESS CONTROL switchlight
Pressed allows outflow valve to manually operate with
MAN RATE toggle and rotary switch
(MAN portion of switch illums)
Fault portion illumiates, Both pressuritaion controlers have failed
MAN RATE rotary switch
When Manual Mode selected, controls rate of change in cabin altitude
PACK switches L/R
L/R pressed supplies air to the flight deck and main cabin perspectively through the mixing manifold.
FAULT portion:
indicates over temp or over pressure condition
OFF portion:
means just that
RECIRC toggle switch
ON: energizes both recirculation fans
OFF: means just that
RAM AIR guarded switch
OPEN: allows air from the ram air scoop into the mixing manifold, provides vetilation to the aircraft
(Switchlight Illuminates)
L and R MAN switches
Allows Manual control of airflow through the PACK by directed actuation of the temperature control valve
HOT/COLD toggle switch
Controls temperature when in manual mode
CKPT and CABIN rheostat control knobs
Allows auto temp control through ACSC mixing hot/cold air
allows pre-selected temperature for the aircraft flight deck and cabin
