- Bradycardia
- Hypotension
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Hypothermia
- Hypoglycemia
- Seizures
Adult and pediatric: Beta Blockers treatment
Normal Saline x1
Peds: 20mg/kg x2
What do Calcium Channel Blockers do
- Lowers BP
- Prevents calcium from entering the cells and arteries of the body
- Calcium causes the heart and arteries to contract

- Norvasc
- Cardizem
- Cardene
- Procardia
Calcium Channel Blockers treatment
*Calcium Chloride 1g IV/IO over 2 mins
* Normal Saline X1
Pediatric: Calcium Channel Blocker treatment
- Calcium Chloride
20mg/kg IV/IO
May repeat in 10 mins unti 1g - Norma Saline 20mg/kg IV/IO X2
Cocaine Overdose signs and symptoms
- Tachycardia
- Supraventricular and ventricular cardiac arrhythmias
- Chest pain/STEMI
- HTN
- Seizures
- Excited delirium
- Hyperthermia
Cocaine Overdose treatment
- Verserd 5mg IV/IO/IM/IN
x1
Pediatric: Cocaine Overdose treament
- Versed 0.1mg/kg IV/IO
- Versed 0.2mg IM/IM
TCA Overdose: Pt with a QRS
> 0.10 sec (2.5 small boxes)
- Sodium Bicarbonate 100 mEq IV/IO over 2 mins
If no change in 5 minutes: 50 mEq
Max dose 150 mEq - If hypotensive: NS 500mL
Pediatrics: TCA Overdose: Pt with a QRS > 0.08 (2.0 small boxes)
- Sodium Bicarbonate
1 mEq /kg IV/IO over 2 mins
may repeat x2 in 5 mins
If hypotensive: NS 20 mL/kg
may repeat x2
Unresponsive suspected narcotic OD monitor and transport (Vitals)
- Spontaneous respirations > 10
- Spo2 > 92%
- Etco2 < 45 mm hg
Suspected narcotic OD, vitals within parameters
Monitor and transport
Suspected OD not breathing
- Narcan: 0.5mg IV/IO/IM
may repeat in 2 mins
Max dose 8mg
