Overall System Flashcards
What is the purpose of the FRCF?
Remove carbon dioxide and water from Florida low pressure, Medium Pressure Pipeline, ECBM, and Wolf Point inlet gas, and boost the gas stream pressure to sales line pressure.
What is the path of the Low pressure inlets?
Area 1 West 12 and 16 inch, Area 1 East 8 and 10 inch enter the plant at around 45 psi.
Drips to slug catcher to inlet filters,
Field compressors Howden 1 and 2, Old Ocean, and JM4.
Amine header.
What is the path of Area 6 and the ECBM?
Drip (Area 6 only).
Inlet filters.
Amine Header.
How does the amine system remove CO2?
The gas enters the bottom of the contactor towers and flows out the top. A counter-current of lean amine (mixed with water) flows from the top down. The amine absorbs the CO2.
The amine is then regenerated in the Heat Medium System.
The water saturated gas then heads to the dehy system.
What is the flow path of the Medium Pressure Loop?
The normal flow is to the Booster Suction Header.
Some or all of the flow can be routed to the amine and dehy header if necessary.
What are the three operational systems at FRCF
Field compression
Amine
Dehy
What are the six support systems at FRCF?
Heat Medium Instrument Air Fuel Gas Flare Uninterruptible Power System Emergency Generator System
If a change is made at a control console located in the field, what additional steps should be taken?
The control room operator needs to be notified of control changes.
