90% are benign

What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts
A
- Asymptomatic
- pain
- menstrual disruption

When should you worry about ovarian cysts
A
> 8cm for premenopausal women
5cm for postmenopausal women (as malignancy risk is higher)
The complexity of the cyst on USS (ultrasound)
- solid, complex
- septae, complex
- bilateral disease
- free fluid, indicates ovarian cancer

What are some complications of ovarian cysts
A
- Torsion
- Rupture
- Haemorrhage
- Infection

What are the different types of neoplasms of the ovary

Epithelial- benign (B), malignant (M), borderline
