- “Stop Engine” light fails to turn off w/ engine running

A
- Axle flanges leaking
- Gross axle weight exceeds tire load rating
- Weight on front or rear axle exceeds gross vehicle weight rating
- Steering components don’t meet minimum standards
- Steering components leaking
- Driveline components don’t meet federal requirements

Crew Cab (6)
A
- Cracked/broken windshield, obstructing driver’s view
- Missing/broken rearview mirrors that obstruct the driver’s view
- Missing/broken windshield wipers
- Missing/broken foot throttle
- Missing/broken door latches
- Broken/damaged seatbelt (driver’s); Others: take seat out of service

Suspension, Wheels, & Tires (9)
A
- Suspension components are loose, broken, or missing
- Tire deficiencies requiring techinitian evaluation:
~ Punctures
~ Bulges/bumps associated w/ tread sidewall separation
~ Sidewall cuts that penetrate the cord - Tires have tread depth less than 4/32 on steering axle; 2/32 on any non-steering axle
- Wheels/Rims deficiencies:
~ Bent, broken, or cracked lock rings
~ Cracked, broken, or elongated bolt holes
~ Loose, missing, broken, or stripped fasteners
~ Weld deficiencies

Braking System (8)
A
- Any audible air leak w/ park brake released
- Any audible air leak w/ park brake released and service brake applied
- Apparatus pulling when brakes applied
- Compressor will not build air pressure
- Park brake will not hold apparatus (uphill OR downhill)
- Shoes, drums, and/or pads worn beyond minimum specification
- Oil contaminated shoes/pads
- Hub seal leaks

Electrical System (9)
A
- Ignition system nonoperational (sticky starter)
- Charging system that is under/over charging (13.5-14.7)
- Warning light sytem failure
- Grounding or bonding deficiencies
- Inoperative siren
- Overheating of the power source and systems
- Tripping of the circuit breakers
- Line voltage power source producing high/low voltage
- Damaged receptacles or observed electrical shock hazards

- Automatic transmission overheating
- Automatic transmission w/ “Do Not Shift” on
- Transmission leakage
- Transmission oil contaminated with coolant (strawberry milk)
- Clutch components, transmission components, and shift linkages

- Pump shaft seals are leaking beyond manufacturer’s recommendations
- Failed pump test
- Pump decifiencies requiring technician evaluation:
~ Pump transmission lubricant
~ Valves & valve controls
~ Pump piping
~ Pressure indicating devices
~ Water tank & water tank level indicator

- Power takeoff won’t engage
- Stabilizer system is not operational
- Aerial device is not operational
- Hydraulic components are not operational
- Cable sheaves defective
- Cables are frayed
- Base/section rails show ironing beyond recommendation
- Anytime ladder/platform is in an accident (building/vehicle)
- Aerial device is structurally deformed
- Torque box fasteners broken/missing
