• When activated, fluid is introduce to housing and energy is introduced to fluid through opposing action of spinning vanes
• Heat is dissipated through trasnmission cooler and radiator
• Quantum’s: 33% throttle & 67% braking
  ~AKA if throttle released, retarder is applied to 1/3 capacity. Applied to full capacity when brakes pressed
