  • Find the medial malleolus and the sustentaculum tali
  • place your finger between these and strum horizontally. From here you can slide anteriorly or posteriorly 45 degrees to find the anterior and posterior aspects

  • anterior surface of lateral malleolus to the lateral side of the talus’ neck.
  • find anterior aspect of lateral malleolus and slide forward about an inch is the entire length.
