- Nausea and vomiting
- Constipation
- Insomnia
- Pruritus
- Intractable hiccups

How might you treat nausea and vomiting in palliative care?
A
Anti-emetic (not ondansetron as it causes constipation)

How might you treat constipation in palliative care?
A
Stimulant laxative (Senna) at night +/- softener (Sodium docusate)

How might you manage insomnia in palliative care?
A
- Appropriate room temperature, darkness, quiet during night.
- Discuss and address psychosocial issues.
- Zopiclone may be used in some cases.

A
- Cholestasis consider biliary stenting
