In order from most North: Tundra Boreal forest Temperate Forest Grassland Desert Savanna Rainforest
What does SHEEPT stand for
Social Historical Environmental Economical Politicsl
How is orographic rainfall formed
Moist, rising air pushes the rain over the mountain. It then turns to dry descending air and falls
What are Hadley cells
a large-scale atmospheric convection cell in which air rises at the equator and sinks at medium latitudes, typically about 30° north or south.
What are polar cells
They6 are their smallest and weakest cells and situate at 60-70 degrees North and South
What are Ferrell cells
In the Ferrel cell, air flows poleward and eastward near the surface and equatorward and westward at higher altitudes; this movement is the reverse of the airflow in the Hadley cell. It lies between 60 and 30 degrees between the polar and Hadley cells.
How does slope of the land affect farming
Flat lands are easier to farm. They may be prone to flooding however. The slope of the land drains out all the water and affects the amount of sunlight crops receive.
