Q

How are CoNS differentiated from Micrococcus, Kocuria, Kytococcus?

A

Oxidase tests!

CoNS = oxidase negative

Micrococcus, Kocuria, Kytococcus = oxidase positive

or Bacitracin sus

Micrococcus generally showing sensitivity to bacitracin unlike most CoNS which are resistant
