Light Position MAIN LIGHT AKA KEY LIGHT
Equivalent to sun, illuminates subject
Look for shadows in the eye to determine key light. Between shadow and reflection can roughly determine height.
OSS
Shot is framed from behind a person who is looking at subject. Person facing subject occupy 1/3 of frame.
Used during conversations, alternating view between different speakers, giving viewers different perspectives.
Fill Light
Give shadow details otherwise, shadows will go completely black.
Separation light
Known as hair light, separates subject from background
Camera Crane
Heavy weights put to balance camera, camera is very light and frustum is closer to other side, so lots of weights are needed to counterbalance the 2 sides.
Rule of Thirds
Frame divided into 9 equal imaginary sections
Subjects occur at 1/3 or 2/3 way up/across e frame rather than meeting in the center
Head room
Lead/Nose room
Distance between person’s head to edge of the screen
Space in front, and in the direction of person

CMY (primary colours used in printing) - opposite of RGB (Red, Green, Blue) - prjmary colours used in light
Shadows, tonal balance, and colours can be adjusted separately w/ colour balance

Selects & adjusts everything of same tonal range
Clone Stamp Tool
Takes clone of another image on same or different layers
Saturation
Intensity of a hue from grey - when lacking in colour, image is more towards grey
Colour Reflector
‘Gold Circle thing’ warms subject up - along with soft boxes
Silver would cool it down
Logos production
Started in illustrator, exported to photoshop, imported into final cut (became separates sequence with its layers), exported as livetype
