Act 2 Scene 1
- Storm destroys the Turkish fleet.
- Desdemona, lago, Emilia and Cassio arrive at Cyprus.
- They jest bawdily while waiting for Othello. - Emilia is teased and berated by her husband, lago.

Act 2 Scene 2
•There will be free drinks for all, in celebration of the marriage and the victory.
Act 2 Scene 3
- lago makes Cassio drunk, and he fights.
- Othello fires Cassio.
- Cassio is distraught.
- lago suggests that Desdemona could plead with Othello to have him reinstated.
- lago outlines his plan.
Act 3 Scene 1
- Cassio brings musicians to serenade Desdemona and asks Emilia to let him see Desdemona.
Act 3 Scene 2
- Othello is tending to the fortifications in Cyprus.
- This is the last time we see him working.
Act 3 Scene 3
- Desdemona pleads for Cassio, and Othello listens, but lago causes Othello to doubt.
- Desdemona loses her handkerchief.
- Emilia gives it to lago.

- Othello is enraged when he asks Desdemona for the handkerchief, but she talks about Cassio.

- Cassio finds the handkerchief.
Act 4 Scene 1

• Othello questions Emilia, but refuses to believe her.

Act 4 Scene 3
- Desdemona prepares for bed, singing an old song from her youth.
Act 5 Scene 1
- Roderigo and lago wait for Cassio; Roderigo injures Cassio.
- Roderigo is killed by lago.
Act 5 Scene 2
•Othello is strongly affected by the sight of a sleeping Desdemona, but kills her.
• Emilia discovers the murder and proclaims Desdemona’s innocence. She reveals what lago has done.
