compensation means
giving them another way to do it (can’t write with pencil so give an iPad)
adaptation means
adjusting to the way someone does something (giving tools to help write better)
purpose of intervention
- develop or remediation of skill or ability
- compensate or adapt
- maintain skill/ability
- health promotion and wellness
- prevention of barriers and disabilities
maintenance goals are used for
people with a progressive condition to try and prevent further loss of skill
