Q

Panners disease- mc loc, age, signs

A

AVN of capitulum

  • mc in 5-10 (younger than OCD)
  • no loose bodies
  • flattening and lucencies w rim
17
Q

Osgood-schlatter- cause, age, gender

A

Patellar tendinitis or partial disruption of lig attachment (pain) (biilat 25-50%)

  • ages 11-15
  • males>females
18
Q

Scheuermans disease- age, gender, loc

A

Adolescent onset (13-17)

  • Mc in males
  • usually mid and lower t spine
19
Q

What are the clinical fx of scheurermanns disease

A
  • pain, fatigue and defective posture
  • increased rigid kyphosis
  • hyperlordosis lumbar and cervical spine
  • protuberent abdomen
  • hypertonic hams, iliopsoas, pecs
20
Q

What must you have imaging wise to dx scheuermans (5)

A
  • kyphosis in 3 continous segs
  • Wedging of more than 5 degrees of each seg
  • Iregular endplates (scmorles nodes0
  • Loss of disc height
  • wide vert bodies
21
Q

Management of scheurmans disease

A

Self limiting after maturity (but deformity maintained)

  • physical therapy
  • bracing/surgery if severe
22
Q

Kummels disease- what is it, signs

A

Delayed collapse of vert body subsequent to trauma/unrecognized fx

Key sign- air lucency withing body

23
Q

What is a risk of kummels disease

A

can cause probs of stenosis due to collapse
