A
Children and adolescent.

What is an Osteochondral lesion ?
A
A small segment of bone separates from its surrounding regions due to lack of blood supply. Localised AVN.

What are the Xray appearances ?
A
A small focal lucency. Can also get as bony fragment which has shed.

Where can OCD commonly occur ?
A
Knee (femoral condyles) and Ankle (at the talar dome), occasionally the capitellum.

Why does OCD occur ?
A
Thought to be trauma but mostly idiopathic.
