A
A fragmentation of the tibial apophysis(growth zone) at the tibial tuberosity. This is the insertion point of the patella ligament.

What causes Osgood Schlatter’s ?
A
Repeated microtrauma at the insertion point of the patella ligament. Kicking or jumping.

What are the two main characteristics on an XRAY ?
A
1) Fragmentation.
2) Soft tissue swelling.
