Treatment for OA

A
  1. non-pharmacological with PT, weight loss, braces,
  2. acetaminophen, topical capsaicin, topical NSAIDs ( preferred in patients aged ≥75), oral NSAIDs, duloxetine
  3. surgical: failure of conservative treatments, significantly impaired function and quality of life, radiographic evidence of significant OA deemed responsible for symptoms, and patient preference and willingness to accept the risks of surgery.
