OSS Overview Flashcards
Its mission is to enhance the college experience and promote success among students. It supervises the delivery of services that complement the academic programs of the University towards the holistic development of students in consonance with DLSU-D’s vision-mission.
Office of the Student Services
Offices under the OSS are the:
- Student Wellness Center
- National Service Training Program Office
- Student Development and Activities Office
- Vicissitude
- Student Welfare and Formation Office
- International Students Office
is tasked to provide opportunities for students to acquire the skills, knowledge, attitude, and other qualities needed for interacting constructively with people within an educational environment. The office also takes full advantage of other opportunities the university can offer for students’ total development.
Student Development and Activities Office
The mother organization and monitoring unit of all existing Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) in the university. It is composed of 12 individual executive board members and 4 executive committee circles.

The duly recognized student organizations by the CSO and Accreditation Board.

The world now has the largest generation of young people in history as people place great hope in their power to shape the coming future.

Not everything is taught in the 4 cotners of the classroom in our case the corners of our screens. We want to teach students the soft skills that they can use in the future, we want to promote holistic growth. Ultimately our goal is to create better leaders for tomorrow.
CSO’s goal
To ensure the students’ mental health and well being during their stay in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, the _____ takes a more proactive stance in helping students go through the different constellations of their development. The Center aids them in developing competence, managing emotions, moving through autonomy toward independence, developing mature interpersonal relationships, establishing identity, developing purpose, and developing integrity vis-á-vis helping them create a student-life atmosphere that enhances their sense of wellness.
Student Wellness Center
Refers to the program aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth, by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of the three (3) Program components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare
NSTP
DLSU-D offers 2 components in NSTP
Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)
refers to the Program component, institutionalized under Sections 38 and 39 of Republic Act No. 7077, designed to provide military training to tertiary level students in order to motivate, train, organize and mobilize them for national defense preparedness.
Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)
refers to the Program component or activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services.
Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)
is an office under the supervision of the Office of Student Services whose main function is to take charge of the enforcement of student discipline policies, rules and regulations as stipulated in the Student Handbook.
Student Welfare and Formation Office (SWAFO)
is the official yearbook publication of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. ____ envisions itself as an invaluable Lasallian partner in preserving and upholding Lasallian pride, heritage and identity by producing high-quality De La Salle University-Dasmariñas yearbooks that are worth-keeping for generations.
