Floor Reaction AFO
Creates knee extension during stance phase
Posterior Leaf spring AFO
- Assists with dorsiflexion & preventing foot drop
- No medial/lateral support** (requires sufficient med/lat support from patient)
Solid AFO
-Controls:
Dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, inversion, and eversion.
-Can be made to be solid or articulating.
Craig-Scott AFO
- KAFO
- Specifically for paraplegia
- Patients able to stand with posterior lean of trunk
