  1. Contact both iliac crests
  2. When patient to lift one foot up like they’re going to take a step
    Stand on one leg up to 30 seconds

A

tests for: hip joint pathology (labral tear/OA)

  1. Patient supine
  2. Frog leg position
    • Extension, abduction, external rotation
      Fix the ASIS on the other side

adductor squeeze test

A

tests for: pubic pain/adductor related pain(osteitis pubis)

  1. Patient supine
  2. Hips at 0,45,90 degrees
  3. Patient squeeze knees together against your closed fists (slowly building up force)

Each contraction should last for 5 seconds

  • Perform at 0 degrees (important if someone has lax knees or go into small amount of hyperextension
    If positive, move to 25 degrees of flexion (only MCL providing support)
