A limp is defined as an asymmetric gait, and is a deviation from a normal age-appropriate gait pattern.

What are the main causes of childhood limp in toddlers, children, teenagers?
A
- toddlers fracture
- child maltreatment
- Perthes disease degenerative condition of hip joints due to avascular necrosis of femoral head, this causes bone infarction, symptoms hip pain, stiffness, management is keep femoral head with cast/brace, observation if <6 years, surgical management if deformities or >6 years.

- Slipper upper femoral epiphysis
- septic arthritis
- osteomyelitis
