ORTHO HIP Flashcards
1
Q
Hip Prone Instability Test
A
- HIP INSTABILITY
- SPIN
- knee passively flexed and hip is ER’d while PT applies anterior force on posterior GT
- POS= ant. hip pain
2
Q
AB-HEER Test
A
- HIP INSTABILITY
- SPIN & SNOUT
- Pt sidelying on good side; affected limb is passively extended, abducted, and ER while an anterior force is applied to posterior GT
- POS= ant. hip pain

Ligamentum Teres Test
A
- HIP INSTABILITY
- SPIN & SNOUT
- Pt supine w/ hip approx 70 deg hip flexion, 30 deg < full abd; passively IR and ER rotate through full ROM
- POS= pain either way
***staying out of end range of FLEX/ABD keeps capsular ligaments out of the way

Squat Test
A
- FAI
- SNOUT
