Q

What is a criticism to introspection

A

A criticism of Introspection is that it can’t really be standardised. This is because is it someone’s own personal perception of themselves. E.g.
Although someone may look happy based on their behaviour, only the person themselves can judge their mood (Introspect). In addition, reports from introspection may have varying validity, as people may alter their answers in order to be more socially acceptable.
Introspection is still used today but not in the same way.
