What was the behaviouristic approach?
It is only interested in studying the behaviour that can be observed and measured
What is classical conditioning and give an example?
Classical conditioning is learning through association and was first used by Ivan Pavlov, who experimented on Dogs.
What is Operant Conditioning and give an example?
It is where humans or animals operate on their environment through either POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT or NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT or PUNISHMENT
What is the Social Learning Theory?
It suggests that people learn from things they see around them.
What are the three examples of the Social Learning Theory?
Vicarious Reinforcement, The role of meditational process and Identification.
What is Identification?
People are more likely to follow people who they identify around them.
What is the role of meditational process?
Attention, Retention, Motor Reproduction and Motivation
What is the Cognitive Approach?
It is the scientific study of the mind about what needs to be fixed.
What is Schema?
Schema is the packages of ideas developed through experience.
What is Cognitive Neuroscience?
It is the scientific study of the influence of the brain structures.
What is the Biological Approach?
Believes that everything is made biologically.
What is the genetic basis of behaviour?
It shows that we inherit things from our parents, through the genotype and phenotype.
