O: first originates by a single head from the medial side of the tendon of the flex dig long bound for the 2nd toe. The 2-4 originate by double heads from the adjacent sides of flex dig long tendons bound for toes 3,4,5
I: proximal phalanges and dorsal expansions of the tendons of the ext dig longus for toes 2-5
Flexor hallucis brevis
O: medial part of plantar surface of cuboid and cuneiform and tendon of tibialis posterior
I: both sides of base of proximal phalanx of great toe
Adductor hallucis
O: bases of metatarsals 2-4 (oblique) and plantar metatarsophalangeal ligaments of toes 3-5 (transverse)
I:lateral side of base of proximal phalanx of 1st digit (oblique) and lateral sesamoid of hallus (transverse)
Flexor digit minimi brevis
O: base of plantar surface of 5th metatarsal
I: Base of proximal phalanx of toe 5
Plantar interossei (3)
O: bases and medial sides of metatarsal 3-5
I: medial sides of bases of proximal phalanges of same toes
Dorsal interossei (4)
O: metatarsal bones
I: first into the medial side of proximal phalanx of 2nd digit, 2-4 into lateral side of proximal phalanges of toes 2-4. All insert into the tendons of the extensor digitorum longus
