Insertion: medial margin of acromion, spine of scapula, crest of its superior lip
Lower trapezius
Origin: spinous process T6-T12
Insertion: spine of scapula tubercle
Latissimus dorsi
Origin: Spinous process T6-T12 and spinous process of lumbar and sacra vertebrae by thoracolumbar fascia, ribs 9-12, iliac crest
Insertion:Floor of intertubercular groove
Levator scapulae
Origin: posterior tubercles of transverse process of C1-C4
Insertion: medial border of scapula superior to root of spine
Rhomboid major
Origin: spinous process of T2-T5
Insertion: medial border of scapula from level of spine to inferior angle
Rhomboid minor
Origin: ligamentum nuchae and spinous process of C7 and T1
Insertion: root of scapular spine
Pec major
Origin: anterior surface of the medial half of the clavicle and anterior surface of sternum, superior 6 costal cartilages, aponeurosis of external oblique
Insertion:lateral lip of intertubercular groove of humerus
Pec minor
Origin: ribs 3-5
Insertion: medial border and superior surface of coracoid process
Subclavius
Origin: junction of 1st rib and costal cartilage
Insertion: inferior surface of middle third of clavicle
Serratus anterior
Origin: lateral parts of ribs 1-8
Insertion: anterior surface of medial border of scapula
Deltoid
Origin: lateral 1/3 of clavicle (a), acromion (m), scapular spine (p)
Insertion: deltoid tuberosity of humerus
Supraspinatus
Origin: supraspinous fossa of scapula
Insertion: superior facet of greater tubercle of humerus
Infraspinatus
Origin: infraspinous fossa of scapula
Insertion: middle facet of greater tubercle of humerus
Teres minor
Origin: middle part of lateral border of scapula
Insertion: inferior facet of greater tubercle of humerus
Teres major
Origin: posterior surface of inferior angle of scapula
Insertion: medial lip of intertubercular groove of humerus
Subscapularis
Origin: subscapular fossa
Insertion: lesser tubercle of humerus
Biceps brachii
Origin: tip of coracoid process (short) and supraglenoid tubercle of scapula, capsule of GH joint and labrum (long)
Insertion: tuberosity of radius and fascia via bicipital aponeurosis
Brachialis
Origin:distal half of anterior surface of humerus
Insertion: Ulnar tuberosity and coronoid process
