Organ Diagram: What is Number 7?
Number 7 is the Liver.
Organ Diagram: What is Number 8?
Number 8 is the Spleen.
What does the Trachea do?
The Trachea caries oxygen to the lungs.
What does the Stomach do?
The Stomach adds hydrochloric acid to ingested food and converts it into a sludge.
What does the Lungs do?
The Lungs adds inhaled oxygen into the bloodstream and removes carbon dioxide from the bloodstream.
What does the Heart do?
Pumps blood to the lungs to have oxygen added, and sends blood around the body to be used.
What does the Liver do?
Cleans blood, and releases bile.
What does the Large Intestine do?
Removes water from food to be used.
What does the Small Intestine do?
Removes nutrients from food to be used.
What does MRS GREN list?
The actions of a organism required to live

Name 8 organ systems.
- Circulatory System
- Nervous System
- Reproductive System
- Digestive System
- Respiratory System
- Muscular System
- Excretory System
What does the Cardiovascular System do?
It pumps blood to deliver oxygen and cells around the body.
What is the blood made of (4 Parts)?
- Red Blood Cells
- White Blood Cells
- Platelets
- Plasma
What are the three main functions of blood?
- Transportation (oxygen and nutrients)
- Protection (fights viruses)
- Regulation (keeps the body at the right temperature)
How are scabs formed?
Platelets that are in the blood release enzymes, which red blood cells get stuck to, creating a mesh which stops foreign cells from entering the wound.
What direction do Arteries travel in?
Arteries carries blood away from the heart.
What direction do Veins travel in?
Veins carries blood back to the heart.
What direction do Capillaries travel in?
They travel into and around body cells to give them oxygen, nutrients and other substances.
Where does blood in the Vena Cava travel from?
Blood in the Vena Cava comes from the body.
Where does blood in the Pulmonary Artery go to?
Blood in the Pulmonary Artery goes to the lungs.
Where does blood in the Pulmonary Vein travel from?
Blood in the Pulmonary Vein travels from the lungs.
Where does blood in the Aorta go to?
Blood in the Aorta goes to the body.
