FAA
Federal Aviation Administration- Federal regulatory agency that oversees aviation and governs airlines’ compliance with laws and established procedures.
OCC
Operation Control Center- Also known as Flight Control, located in SGU, monitors and controls daily SkyWest flight operations.
OSHA
Occupational Safety and Health Administration- Federal agency charged with issuing and enforcing rules for workplace safety and health.
NTSB
National Transportation Safety Board- Investigates, and determines the cause of, all accidents involving aircraft.
TSA
Transportation Security Administration- This branch of the Department of Homeland Security ensures airline transportation safety and security. TSA is responsible for the AOSSP (Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program), all Security Directives, Bulletins, Information Circulars and 49 CFRs 1520-1544 regulations. They also inspect airline operations to ensure employees are performing requirements outlined in the AOSSP, Security Directives, 49CFR 1544, etc
