Ways to Motivate Through job design
Decentralization: daily operations and decision making responsibilities are decided by lower management or lower level employees
Alternative Work Structure: gives employees the freedom and flexibility to handle their work on their own time versus a set office schedule
Enrichment: an approach to job design that is based on the assumption that in order to motivate personnel, the job itself must provide opportunities for achievement, recognition, responsibility, advancement and growth
Job Sharing: two people are hired on a part-time or reduced-time basis to perform a job normally fulfilled by one person working full-time.
Contract Work: employment involves hiring a person for a specific job under particular terms for a fixed period of time
