What are tall vs flat organizational structures
tall: multiple “floors or levels” between employees on the ground and leaders at the top.
flat: only a couple floors or levels separating employees and leaders
What are the 4 traditional organizational structures
Functional: divides the company based on specialty
Divisional: companies that structure leadership according to different products or projects
Matrix: employees have multiple bosses and reporting lines
Hybrid: spreads power across multiple positions
Define Decentralization
operations and decisions are decided by lower management or lower level employees
Define Alternative Work Structure
gives employees the freedom and flexibility to handle their work on their own time versus a set office schedule

a motivational technique used by organizations to give an employee greater satisfaction in his work.
