1) Safety - automatic (ex ABCs)
2) Comfort - care is needed to maintain/improve how the pt feels (ex symptom management)
3) Efficiency - pot problems that the pt may not recognize (ex monitor VS)
4) Future - actual/potential problems that require teaching
